A CALL has gone out for teams of cyclists to take part in a static challenge for charity due to take place in Barnoldswick on Saturday, September 16.
The annual static cycling challenge organised by Barnoldswick and Earby Rotary Club invites teams of three to pedal for an hour - each member doing 20 minutes. The team that travels the furthest distance will receive prizes and medals.
Barnoldswick based Hope Engineering is providing the static bikes. Money raised will be shared by Pendleside Hospice and other Rotary charities. It is hoped that there will be good support from the public in the square from and there will be cash collections by Rotarians and a raffle.
The challenge gets underway at 10am in Barnoldswick Town Square. Entry fee is £30 per team. To enter, telephone Eric on 07778 216585, or email: ericfirth@sky.com.
