IT was a glorious autumn day on Sunday for the 17th Yorkshire vintage bus running day in Skipton, organised by the Aire Valley Transport Group.
Coach Street car park was packed with beautifully restored and fully operational vintage and classic buses, some of which transported passengers free of charge on trips around the town with drivers in full uniform.
Many of the buses travelled around Skipton and into the bus station car park where they picked up passengers.
It was a trip down memory lane for many people who will remember the 'younger' models in service. There were many, too, from other parts of the country which had been restored to their former glory.
There was also a collector's Morris Marina parked alongside in Coach Street car park for good measure which drew a lot of admirers.
