FOUR care managers with Spellman Care group have reached the finals of the 'Women in Greatness in Social Care' awards.

The care group includes Craven Nursing Home, in Skipton, Springbank Care Home, in Silsden, Steeton Court Nursing Home, in Steeton and Ghyll Royd, in Guiseley.

Those who have made the finals are: Philippa Young, group operations manager; Lisa Noble, Springbank Home manager; Nichola Harrison, Ghyll Royd Home manager; and April Howie, Springbank deputy.

Philippa Young previously reached the finals in the inaugural 2022 awards, following a nomination for “The Care Home Businesswoman of the Year category”, reaching the finals for the same category again this year.

Philippa said: "We’re all immensely proud to have four members of the Spellman Care team reach the WAGS finals. At Spellman Care we believe that the little things are the big things and this achievement shows our teams' hard work and commitment.”

The judging panel is headed up by Dr Cecilia Akrise Anim, former President of the Royal College of Nursing, carer of a child with complex needs and disability rights activist. The awards will be judged at The London Marriott Hotel on November 21, in a ceremony hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh.
