SKIPTON based Whitakers Chocolates is hoping to tempt the more discerning palate with its new range of crystallised stem ginger - and not just for Christmas.

Following months of what it describes as 'meticulous production trials' and significant investment in new machinery, Whitakers says it is a significant step forward for the company, which is known for its after-dinner mint chocolates and coffee-flavoured treats.

Using the finest quality stem ginger, customers can choose between a sugar dusted treat, or the more luxurious indulgence covered in a rich, dark chocolate. Both are vegan-friendly, use Fairtrade cocoa and are wrapped in recyclable packaging.

William Whitaker, managing director of Whitakers Chocolates, said: "Ginger, often seen as a seasonal treat, will now be a year-round indulgence in our range. We're also introducing a cane sugar-dusted version to offer more variety to our customers."

He added: "Our expertise in chocolate enrobing and this new production line opens up a world of possibilities. We're excited about the new opportunities this brings."

Established in 1889, Whitakers Chocolates has a rich history of crafting chocolates and continues to revolutionise the confectionery industry with its commitment to quality, sustainability, and delectable variety.
