PLANS by the Just Motor Group to set up a MOT centre at the Airedale Trading Park, Cross Hills, have been given the go-ahead by North Yorkshire Council.
In submissions to the council, Alistair Bury from the business says the plan is to make use of an empty unit at the busy industrial site into a main dealer vehicle workshop and MOT facility.
The unit is next to two vehicle body shops and a valeting unit. Mr Bury says the plans should help create more job opportunities.
A planning officer's report recommending approval of the scheme states: "The principle of development is acceptable. The proposal has been considered against all material considerations that arise from this development."
Activities and deliveries must take place only between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. No activities shall take place on Sundays or Public/Bank Holidays.
