Ingleton's home-grown Emmerdale star Tom Brown (now Tom Lister) who plays Carl King in the soap was the mystery guest at this year's village gala - but he had an accomplice.

Tom was accompanied by fellow cast member Christopher Villiers, who plays Grayson Sinclair. Both signed autographs for gala-goers and soap fans.

What's more, the sun even made an appearance as gala queen Hannah Newbold received her crown from last year's queen, Lauren Capstick. She was attended by Kelly Preston, Jade Rennie, Georgia Tazzyman, Lydia Campbell, Ellie Duckett, Chloe Allan and Alex Burton.

A packed day of activities was enjoyed, with live music from the Batala Lancaster Samba Beats and other acts. Also entertaining visitors were the High Crompton Morris Troupe Majorettes Baton Display and Thornton Force BMX Bike Display - a group of local lads who practise BMX bike stunts.

Later, the North West Balloon and Airship Club treated everyone to a night glow as they launched a hot-air balloon on a night-time flight.

Ingleborough Mountain Race ran smoothly thanks to organiser Dave McGonnigal. Race results are available from the website ingletongala.org.uk.
