CAVE rescue volunteers were called out on Boxing Day to help a male walker after he experienced a 'medical episode' on the Ribble Way near Giggleswick.

The 61-year old was treated by Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics who were first at the scene at just before 1pm on Friday, December 26. Members of Cave Rescue Organisation, called by the ambulance service to assist, transported the casualty by stretcher from the Ribble Way, near Borrins, to a waiting road ambulance on Stainforth Lane.

It was the 96th incident attended by Clapham-based CRO in 2025.
