Police investigating a large-scale disturbance in Skipton town centre in which two officers were injured are appealing for the public’s help.
At 1.30am on Sunday May 17, police tried to break up a fight involving around 20 youths in Keighley Road. During the fracas, PC James Gross suffered a cut under his eye and PC Emma Newby sustained an arm injury.
Now police want to hear from two people, possibly doorstaff, who went to their aid.
A taxi was damaged during the incident.
Three youths have been arrested in connection with the disturbance – one, a 22-year-old, has received a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and the other two, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, have been released on police bail.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gross on 0845 6060 347.
