HUBBERHOLME'S "annual parliament' will reconvene on Monday.
The "parliament" - which has been in existence for about 20 years - will determine the tenancy of a 16-acre parcel of land in Langstrothdale, named the Poor Pasture.
An auction will be carried out and the land will go to whoever has the top bid when the candle - which will be lit at the start of the proceedings - fizzles out.
Last year, the pasture went to Gill Huck with a record bid of £633.
The event will start with a blessing of the land at St Michael and All Angels' Church, Hubberholme, at 8pm and the congregation will then walk over to the George Inn for the auction at 8.30pm.
The auctioneer will be former vicar, the Rev Peter Yorkstone, who retired earlier this year, but will return for the occasion.
