PLANS to build a leisure complex with swimming pool at listed Stainton Cotes, Coniston Cold, have been resubmitted.
An earlier application, part of which was retrospective, was refused permission in February by Craven District Council.
Councillors at the time objected to the loss of woodland, which had already been largely felled, and the "gentrification" of the estate with formal planned gardens.
The resubmitted scheme includes the leisure facility at the rear of the house, but also the reinstatement of the woodland with native maples and oaks.
It is planned that the leisure complex, in addition to the pool, will include a pool room, gym and games room and also a changing area.
