YORKSHIRE Dales Society vice-president Colin Speakman will lead a walk, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Mr Speakman has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share on the achievements of national park designation.
The four-mile walk will take place on Saturday, setting off from the national park visitor centre at Colvend, Grassington, at 10.30am.
It will be followed in the afternoon by a talk on the development of nearby Grimwith Reservoir, given by YDS member and chartered civil engineer Jim Crossley. He worked on the project in the 1970s and 1980s.
The talk will be held in the Octagon at Grassington Town Hall at 2.15pm and non-members are welcome for a £3 admission fee.
