JAMES Mundell has been appointed the new head of Giggleswick Junior School.
He has been acting head since September, but will officially take on the role from the start of the new school year.
Mr Mundell will build upon the successes of Mark Brotherton, who became the first head of the newly-formed Giggleswick Junior School in 2007.
“I’m lucky enough to take over as head with a record 97 pupils in the school," said Mr Mundell. “We are in the enviable position of being linked to a thriving senior school with which we share resources and some teaching staff. This allows us to offer specialist teaching in all areas of the curriculum, as well as high level sports coaching."
