A COURSE to be held in Skipton on how to look after honey bees is being offered by the Wharfedale Beekeepers' Association.
Evening classes starting in February will be held at Craven College's Auction Mart campus in Skipton.
Jill Campbell of the association said: "Beekeeping is a fascinating and rewarding craft, yielding honey most years and giving an untold benefit to the world at large by offering a free pollination service.
"Six evening classes plus some practical tuition in the summer will provide students with sufficient information for them, with the help of more experienced members, to keep a small hive in late summer which will build up and multiply in subsequent years."
