THIS week's nostalgia picture is tinged with sadness.
It has been prompted by the recent death of former Silsden man Stephen Wright, one of the lads featured.
The photograph - of the first three runners in the under 12 crag race at Kilnsey Show in 1983 - has been brought in by local sportsman Roger Ingham.
Ironically it was at Kilnsey Show that he heard of Stephen's death. He was just 42 and living in the Philippines where he will be laid to rest.
But Roger writes: "His family are inviting all his friends and sporting contemporaries to a celebration of his life at the Punch Bowl, Silsden, from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday."
Following his crag race victory - Stephen finished first - he went on to achieve further sporting success throughout his teens and 20s, including winning the senior one-mile handicap at Kilnsey Show from the back mark.
Pictured with him are crag race runner-up Jamie Garside, of Addingham, left, and Paul Storton, of Keighley, who was third.
