Sir – As a regular user of the public footpath from White Hills Lane to the A65 I was surprised to find a planning notice in the field on Saturday.
There was evidence that it had been attached on the gate to the field, and as there were only cows present, I am guessing that they were not impressed with the proposal to build 50 houses in their field and had therefore pulled the notice down.
Come to think of it I am not impressed with the suggestion of another development of that size on the outskirts of Skipton either.
