Sir – I would like to bring to your attention, the use of Greatwood and Horseclose estates as a rat run for non residents in their cars, just so that they can avoid the traffic lights on Keighley road – causing a real danger to the children that live here.
As a resident on Sharphaw Avenue, I witnessed a woman shout from her car window at two young children on their scooters, who were playing outside their own homes.
Had she not been going as fast as she was, there would have been no need to shout at them.
There are speed bumps in place. However, the traffic approach so fast you can hear them scrape the underneath of their cars as they bounce over them.
There is a constant stream of traffic but this only gets busier during peak times. In my opinion, there should be a lesser speed limit in place.
Also, I feel it should be for residents and visitors only.
