Sir – I would like to responsd to the rather absurd New York professor who claimed atheists were somehow cleverer than religious people because they were more ‘rational’.
I would argue that, as only five per cent of the physical aspects of the universe are understood by academics own admission, agnosticism is the only really rational argument.
