SIR - Bridge, the card game played by millions throughout the world, is thriving in Yorkshire and we have our own friendly Club here in Settle, always seeking new members.
There are lots of folk locally who play Rubber Bridge at home who would likely welcome the company and challenge of Club play and we’d thus like to ask anyone interested to come along to our Taster Evening at St John’s Church Hall on Thursday 12 July at 6.30p.m. to give it a go.
There will be hands of Bridge to play in a convivial atmosphere, with advice readily available as and when required - and even free refreshments!
There are also lots of local Whist players who would find the transition to Bridge very straightforward; free tuition is always at hand so why not come along for a chat.
You’ll be assured of a cheerful welcome and a pleasant evening!
Anyone seeking further information is welcome to have a look at our Settle Bridge Club website.
