SIR - I am writing regarding St Alkelda's churchyard in Giggleswick.
I recently went to visit our family grave there but I could not find it.
On my second visit I took shears, clippers etc with me and I did manage to find my family's gravestone after a lot of hard work - this was underneath brambles, nettles, weeds etc.
Unfortunately some of the graves are still out there in the wilderness.
What is happening to this churchyard? This beautiful church is steeped in history with a jungle in the backyard; surely something could be done.
