I READ an article recently which showed that almost two million UK drivers had been caught by speed cameras in the past year making the various road safety partnerships nearly £46 million.

Whether this includes bus lane cameras and yellow box ones I don't know, so the figure could be much higher.

Obviously they say that this is to keep everybody safe on the roads and keep traffic flowing properly.

I wonder if they would see it the same way were all the UK's motorists to agree with them and not commit a single road traffic violation for a year. Their financial panic would be interesting to behold.
