SO, permission to build 28 new houses in Cononley has been given by North Yorkshire County Council (and allowed on appeal to the Planning Inspectorate).
We can therefore expect an increase of cars on the roads and lanes in and out of our village At the bottom of of Netherghyl Lane there is a "blind bend" which, recently, caused a total blockage to vehicles for about 15/20 minutes.
It made me wonder how any ambulance, police car etc. would get through in an emergency. The main street is already difficult to drive up or down in normal circumstances due to car parking.
Are we just to wait for such an awful occurrence?
