APPARENTLY our local MP Julian Smith has visited the Jobcentre in Skipton (MP Julian Smith pays a visit to Skipton Jobcentre, Craven Herald, December 23). For all the good him and the rest of his fellow MPs of all parties seem to do these days a job centre seems a good idea.

Not bestowing their munificence on the staff there but looking for a job that matches their skills. Something which requires minimal qualifications and experience. But of course being an MP requires no skills or experience, which is probably part of the problem.
