THE Government, coerced by the eco zealots, wants farmers to re-wild and plant millions of trees on perfectly good arable and pasture land all over the country forcing us to import more and more food . Hardly good for the environment all those air miles.
On the other hand, with the wars in Ukraine and Gaza and unrest in many other parts of the world many people are forecasting another world war in the not too distant future.
What was the first thing that happened in the last world war? A shortage of food. Won’t it be ironic when the order goes out to farmers to ‘Dig to feed Britain’, plough in that re-wilded, uncultivated land, grub out those acres of trees and get some crops in. Do your bit for the war effort and feed the nation!.
