AM I alone in being staggered to see our area MP opening, and by inference celebrating, the opening of the Barclays Hub in Swadford Street. This is not a cause for celebration (MP ‘pleased’ to open new Barclays Local in Skipton, Craven Herald, March 14).
This miserable, inadequate substitute for a real High Street Bank should certainly not be championed by our local MP, whose duty must surely be to see our failing local services improve, not preside over and apparently take satisfaction from their demise.
