Double Olympic gold medal winner Andy Hodge has been selected as part of the GB Rowing Team for the World Championships in Chungju, Korea later this month.

The eight-day regatta takes place from August 25 to September 1.

The Hebden ace is one of three returning 2012 gold medallists in the men’s four who will race in the men’s eight (the other two being Peter Reed and Alex Gregory).

They will be joined by Tom Ransley, Dan Ritchie, George Nash, Mohamed Sbihi, Will Satch and Phelan Hill (cox).

The crew won gold at their home world cup regatta in Eton Dorney before finishing outside the medals in Lucerne last month, where they had to settle for fourth position.
