There was disappointment for Threshfield’s Izzy Vyvyan as her Cambridge University crew were defeated in the Newton Women’s Boat Race at Henley on Sunday.

The 22-year-old was rowing in the number four seat for the Light Blues as they suffered defeat by four lengths.

Vyvyan, who is studying land economy at Hughes Hall, went to Giggleswick School and first took up rowing while studying at Newcastle University.
