Skipton Town under-11 girls tasted their first defeat of the season to a well drilled Guiseley team, going down 5-0.
From the off, Skipton were under pressure but a combination of stout defending organised by Jodie Pepper at the back and some brave and sometimes acrobatic goalkeeping from Kayleigh Hindle kept Guiseley at bay for much of the first half.
However, the pressure had to tell in the end and Guiseley scored two goals in quick succession towards the end of the half, in each case the striker running onto a long ball over the top.
The second half followed much the same pattern. Abbie Marshall ploughed a lone furrow up front but was a constant thorn in the side of the Guiseley defence for which she received a well-deserved man of the match award along with Hindle in the Skipton net.
