HEBDEN'S Andy Hodge has been ruled out of the Great Britain team for the European Rowing Championships in Poland on May 29-31 due to illness.
His absence has led to a reshuffle which sees the remaining three members of last year's all-conquering men's four, Mohamed Sbihi, Alex Gregory and George Nash, will switch to the eights.
Coach David Tanner has chosen Nathaniel Reilly O’Donnell, Tom Ransley, Alan Sinclair and Scott Durant to contest the men’s four, an event that GB won at the last European Championships.
The Reilly and O'Donnell were both world champions in the eight last year while Sinclair and Durant were silver medal winners in the coxed pair.
