ONLY two games were played in the latest rounds of the Craven & District FA competitions with Skipton LMS recording a comprehensive 8-3win over Rolls FC and Hellifield Sports secure a 3-1 home victory in the MorrisonCup against Bentham FC.

LMS dominated their Craven FA Cup clash from the start. A mixture of good play and poor Rolls defending gave them a half-time lead of 6-2 with a Howsen hat-trick, a brace from Chris Simpson and a Rob Matthews goal.

Further second-half goals from Ian Craven and Paul Wilkin completed a good day for the home side when the game was finally played after three postponements and switched from Rolls FC to avoid further problems.

Bentham took an early lead at Hellifield only for Paul Mounsey to level matters when they failed to deal with a long throw in.

Hellifield put the visitors under pressure and finally scored through Carl Stanford. A further second half goal from Dale Denham made the game safe.
