IT has been an excellent season for the men's team at Settle & Giggleswick Golf Club.
On Sunday September 11 they triumphed in a hard fought and very close result in the Ingleborough Trophy; beating Casterton, Bentham and Kirkby Lonsdale in this annual fixture.
This outstanding performance is in addition to their win in the Three Counties trophy earlier in the season and a highly creditable, very close second place in the Dales League, where they fought back from some poor early season results to finish within half a point of the winners.
It was a successful campaign for a handful of individuals and in the Ingleborough team was 2022 Captain, David Colgrave, and he was supported by his team members: Richard Barrett, Nigel Green, Dan Hudson-Mellor, Peter Johnson, Chris Sharp and Mark Vickery plus Mike Harrop.
