BINGLEY Congs III are the last team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Cowling Cup.

They were unable to complete their Super Over decider at home to Cononley on Saturday due to rain so a coin toss was held by video call, which Congs won.

That meant that Bradley II were unable to overtake Congs and will therefore not be in the semi-finals.

Congs will therefore face Hepworth & Idle II in the first semi-final at Ingrow on Sunday, August 20 (10am), with Cononley, who had already qualified, meeting Cowling II in the second semi-final (1.30pm), with the final to follow at 4.30pm.

Rain heavily disrupted Saturday’s league programme, but Gargrave made short work of Haworth Road Meths to climb to third.

Will Smith’s decision to field proved a wise choice at Skipton Road as only Naseeb Ali (11) made double figures as Meths were skittled for 47 in 26.4 overs, with Harry McEneaney bagging 6-16.

Gargrave lost opener Dom Kay for a duck, but then John Beckwith (21no) and Lee Barrett (22no) added 49 unbroken as they won by nine wickets in just 6.3 overs.

All five matches in Division Two fell victim to the weather, as did three of the five matches in Division Three and three of the four in Division Four.
