SKIPTON Ladies Football Club has kicked off the 2023/24 football season by announcing that they have netted a new sponsor: the Rebecca Rennolds Clinic.

The Rebecca Rennolds Clinic, situated on Newmarket Street, holds a special place in Skipton's history, as the building has been owned by Rebecca's family since 1958.

After a redevelopment in 2021, the clinic has achieved its goal to become a leading destination for beauty and wellness services in the region. Rebecca Rennolds, owner of the Rebecca Rennolds clinic, said: “I am proud of my Skipton roots and love being part of the Skipton business community, so when the opportunity arose to sponsor Skipton Ladies, it was a no brainer. The whole team at the clinic will be cheering the girls on as they keep making history.”

The sponsorship will help the club as it continues to go from strength to strength, now fielding two teams and enabling over 50 women to play football each week. Last season the first team secured promotion and were crowned Division 1 champions. Already this season they have continued their winning streak, beating rivals Silsden 5-3 on September 24.

Amy Maclean, co-founder of Skipton Ladies Football Club, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Rebecca Rennolds Clinic as our sponsor for the season. As a female-run business she is our perfect wing-woman, and we look forward to working with Rebecca and the team to promote women’s football in Skipton and beyond.”
