It was a weekend washout for both Silsden and Steeton the other day.

Silsden were due to be hosting Handsworth in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, but the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

A win would have taken the Cobbydalers into the top-five and the play-offs but, without a game, they slipped to eighth in the table instead.

Silsden are back in action tomorrow night, as they have an NCEL League Cup second round tie at Tadcaster Albion.

Steeton were meant to be on the road at Daisy Hill in the North West Counties Football League First Division North, but the match was postponed with the Greater Manchester side's pitch unplayable due to the bad weather.

That game has been immediately rescheduled for this coming weekend, with Steeton not having a midweek game before then.
