BARNOLDSWICK Town endured a frustrating Christmas period, having seen several games postponed due to the weather.
The first fixture to fall victim to the blustery and rainy conditions was the visit of Litherland Remyca to the Silentnight Stadium on December 23.
The home side’s pitch was deemed as “waterlogged” and the match was postponed, with a new date for the fixture set to be announced soon.
Furthermore, an away trip to Colne FC on Boxing Day was postponed, whilst Barlick’s home tie against Irlam on December 30 also fell victim to the weather.
Finally, Town’s highly anticipated trip to Bury FC on Tuesday evening was also cancelled due to the poor playing conditions, with a new date for the contest to be announced soon.
