THE weather played havoc on local sport once again over the weekend, with both the football and rugby schedules having to be put on a temporary halt.
North Ribblesdale and Skipton both had their respective fixtures called off on Saturday, with the latter scheduled to take on Burley in Yorkshire Division 3.
The only fixture to go ahead in the division was Wheatley Hills against Thirsk, which the home side edged 19-18.
Skipton's fixture has been re-arranged for February 10.
Elsewhere in the rugby union calendar, North Ribblesdale saw their fixture postponed at Bramley, but they return to action this weekend at home against Huddersfield Laund Hill.
In football, Barnoldswick Town’s home contest with Burscough and Silsden’s game with Bottesford Town fell victim to the weather.
