Skipton 6 Leodensians 53
Skipton welcomed back Malcolm Wilsher after injury for their final game of the season.
He partnered brother Richard in the second row in a pack which also included debut-making prop for Simon Bygraves.
Once again Skipton found the going tough against lively opponents.
Leodensians established a 27-6 lead by half-time with Skipton’s points coming from two two penalties by Alex Naylor.
The second half saw the visitors continue to build up their points tally from some good team work.
Skipton, although outclassed, never gave in. Simon Bygraves showed great promise along with the back row of Ben Hall, Josh Beck and Matty Wilson.
Veteran prop Paul Shearer once again giving a good all-round performance. The game ended with Skipton losing 53-6 and they will now look to the future with the hope that next season sees less injuries and a better league position.
