EMBSAY, relegated from the Premier Division last season after only two wins in 22 matches, are finally off the mark at the fifth time of asking in Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Division One.

They had Charles Barker, Callum Harrison and James Mole yellow-carded at Bradley but still won 4-1, with the goal-scorers including David Greenwood, Mole and Ian Piper, Tom Wilson replying as Embsay remained bottom.

Second-placed Skipton Town were held to a 2-2 draw at Oxenhope Recreation, John Bunnett and man of the match Andrew Nicholson netting for Town, while Rolls Reserves edged a mid-table battle 3-2 at home to Cowling, with Morgan Brown (2) and Martin Shaw on target for the second string and Sam Woolley replying with a brace.

At the top of the Premier Division, Skipton LMS made it six victories out of six with a 5-1 triumph at Grindleton, gong winner Matthew Simpson (2), Robert Bingham, Will Beckwith and Fred Midgley being the LMS marksmen, while Rolls have climbed to fourth after a 4-3 win at Wilsden Athletic, Dan Paton getting a hat-trick and substitute Jonathan McGeachie also netting and being named man of the match.

Settle United are sixth after an 8-0 triumph at cellar dwellers Cononley Sports, hat-tricks coming from Luke Hepton and Mark Loughlin, with Dan Bathers and Matthew Cardus completing the tally.

Silsden Whitestar, like Bradley in Division One, were in benevolent mood in the top flight, handing Earby Town their first three points of the season.

Whitestar, whose man of the match was John Berry, had Jack Kendall and James Wilson on target in their 3-2 defeat at Earby, but also had Joshua McNulty sent off. Cross Hills, meanwhile, beat visitors Gargrave 3-1.

Bis Andrzej (Polonia) and Jan Ozdoba (Grassington United Reserves) both netted four goals in their Division Two encounter but man of the match Mirdstaw Bak made the difference for the Poles by also scoring in a 5-4 home victory over the cellar dwellers.

Richard Calvert-inspired Cononley Sports Reserves are up to fourth after a 4-1 triumph at Pendle Renegades Reserves, Nicholas Kaminski (2), Jake Manditch and Colin Throupe being on target, but Cross Hills Reserves lost 4-0 at Salts.

Sam Kelly (2) and Jonathan Dawson gave Settle United Reserves the edge in a 3-2 home victory over Skipton Town Reserves, for whom Jeremy Baker and Sam Headey were on target.

In Division Three, Barnoldswick Barons are down to fourth after a 4-3 home defeat against Hellifield, Lewis McKane, Oliver Venn and Leon Wright netting for the losers, but Sutton rose to seventh after a 6-3 victory over visitors Ilkley.

Man of the match Nick Trowers (3), Wayne Gray, Aiden Robertson and Jamie Wilson were the marksmen for Sutton, while Cowling Reserves lost 3-1 at home to Barlick Wanderers, who notched only their second victory of the season via Daniel Holden (2) and substitute Lewis Bannister.

Substitute Sam Wedgwood got the Cowling goal, while AFC Barnoldswick lost 2-0 at home to second-placed Addingham.
