Skipton Girls u-12s 4 Hebden Bridge u-12s 0
SKIPTON recorded their second home win in succession with a fine team performance.
They dominated from the start, with fine performances from Jodie Pepper and Anna Lodge in midfield.
Their efforts were rewarded with two swift goals before half-time. Sophie Wolstenholme turned in a cross and Chloe Nettleton added a well-taken second after good work up front.
In the second half, determined defending from Amber Gaunt and Tia Eales saw Skipton push further forward.
Hannah Whitlam and Katie Geldart both made the most of the ball in midfield to supply the strikers with opportunities.
As the game came to a close, Wolstenholme and Nettleton added another goal each to round off their scoring partnership in fine style. Another great team performance from the girls.
Skipton had defeated Woodkirk 1-0 in their previous game on the artificial pitch at Sandylands.
Sophie Wolstenholme scored the only goal from a long throw from Felicity Windle midway through the first half.
Kayleigh Hindle, back in goal after injury, made some fine saves and there were tenacious performances from Sophie Auburn, April Irlam and Phoebe Newall in midfield.
