SILSDEN are back in the top flight of the North West Counties League after clinching promotion with an emphatic win tonight.
They blew away lowly hosts Bacup Borough 6-1 to achieve their goal in style.
Aidan Kirby put the Cobbydalers in front after 22 minutes and, though Matthew Bryan equalised, Chris Wademan restored the lead on the stroke of half-time.
There was no stopping Danny Forrest's side in the second half as they added four goals, with Niall Sultan, Craig Bentham, Kirby with his second, and Luke Rhodes ensuring the celebrations could start.
Now Silsden, who reached 100 points with the win, are aiming to add the title.
They need two points from their remaining two games to win the battle with Litherland to claim top spot.
